In 2025, Switzerland will witness the birth of its first national offshore racing team with the creation of the Swiss Offshore Team, led by three iconic Swiss sailors: Alan Roura, Elodie Mettraux, and Simon Koster. This unique project combines performance with the transfer of knowledge, aiming to shine in the world’s most prestigious ocean races.

The Swiss Offshore Team will compete in major events such as The Ocean Race 2027 and the Vendée Globe 2028, while training young Swiss talent for offshore competition. Two boats will allow the team to always be in action, whether in solo, double-handed, or crewed races.

Alan, Elodie, and Simon aim to unite a new generation of Swiss sailors while honoring the country’s maritime heritage. Together, they strive to raise Switzerland’s profile on the global sailing stage.
